Mahesh Babu is the fourth Son of Actor Krishna. He graduated with Commerce degree from Loyola College, Chennai. Mahesh Babu debuted as a child artist in the year 1979 with the film “Needa” and acted as child artist in almost eight films. He performed as a lead actor in Rajakumarudu during the year 1999. He received Nandi Award for best debut Male Actor.
Mahesh Babu won break with his film “Murari” in the year 2001. It fetched him Special Jury Nandi Award. He subsequently acted in many commercial hits like Dookudu, Businessman, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Srimanthudu. He has won Four Filmfare Awards, Seven Nandi Awards, three CineMAA Awards, One International Indian Film Acadamy Awards and two South Indian International Movie Awards.
Mahesh Babu spent his early childhood in Chennai. His career went through many ups and downs and his recent film Srimanthudu helped him make a comeback. He co-produced Srimanthudu under his new banner Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd venturing into Production. “Brahmostavam” is the first straight Tamil film acted by Mahesh Babu.
Mahesh Babu’s popularity has earned him 1.05 million followers as of January 2015. He was ranked first in 2013 on the Times 50 most desirable Men in India list in the year 2013. He is also one of the best South Indian brand ambassadors endorsing close to dozen brands. He commands Rs 25 to 30 million per endorsement per annum. He is also ranked 14th in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 List regarding Money made during the year 2014.
He married his co-star Namrata Shirodhkar and is blessed with a Son and a daughter. He is a philanthropist and gives almost 30% of his annual income to charities and he wants his philanthropic activities to be unpublicised. His latest film is a family drama made with Rs 75 crore budget under the banner of PVP Cinema. It has created curiosity among moviegoers with its trailer and people are eagerly awaiting for the movie.
